Golf Club Road Durga Puja Committee organized its first ever Durga Puja in the year 1940, seven years before India got her Independence. 2014 will be the Platinum Jubilee year for this age old Durga Puja. It has been a long journey with involvement of different generations .

This Puja started along with some local enthusiastic youths & residents who arranged and started the Durga Puja at Golf Club Road .This Durga Puja continues till now with adding various dimensions to Kolkata Durga Puja Festival and enriches the significance of Bengali culture world wide. In 2014,Golf Club Road Durga Puja Committee will be celebrating its 75th year i.e. the Platinum Jubilee year to poise the projection to the masses and to develop a well entrenched tradition in Bengal rather in Indian socio-economic landscape for attracting visitors from far and wide and also to win their hearts. The main objective of this Puja is to provide the message of peace to the mass with endless joy, prosperity, love & happiness forever.
